Artist Statement

My work originates from my fascination with texture and surface design, thus handling skin as a source material within my practice. In doing this, I explore a variety of materials and produce obscure visuals throughout my process.

I am not an environmental activist, however I am aware of global issues that are occurring around us and how we, as humans make use of our planet. Much of my work relates to organic and easily sourced materials, implementing the moto “reduce, reuse, recycle.”

My practice involves working with paint, textiles, photography, film, sculpture, object and installation. As a visual artist, I adapt to my surroundings, therefore using the medium I feel fits best to project an issue I may have. This allows the work to speak for itself and enables the viewer to build a relationship with the space I have created.
